One o'clock Jam satu – one o’ clock

Half past one Setengah satu (half past twelve – lit. half to one)
Five past twelve   Satu lewat lima – five past twelve (lit. one o’clock past five)
Ten to twelve (literally twelve o’clock less ten) Jam dua belas kurang sepuluh

At the end of the month, it is quite acceptable to turn down an invitation out with the complaint; Bulan Tua (lit. old month). What you basically mean is that you're broke because you haven't been paid yet. On the other hand, you should be flush during Bulan Muda (young month) - when you have just been paid.
